Have You Heard The Story of LaVena Johnson?
LaVena Johnson was a soldier who enlisted in the Army in 2003. She was the first woman from Missouri to die in Iraq. What happened to this young black woman was appalling. She was found in her tent with a gunshot wound to the head, a broken nose, black eye, loose teeth, acid burns on her genitals, and a trail of blood leading away from her tent. What’s even more appalling is the Department of Defense has officially ruled her death a suicide.
christhepusher: I saw this on my news feed on FB from back home in Oklahoma and was like WTF!? If you don’t know what “G8RBAIT” is..read below and follow the link for a insightful blog about it. ..see how DISGUSTING this is…
Alligator bait, also known as gator bait, is the practice of using little black children as bait to catch alligators. Some say it was done by white men during slave times in Florida and Louisiana and other parts of the American South.
Here is the most complete account of how it was done, coming from the grandson of someone who says he used to do it:
… the slaves who had babies they would steal the babies during the course of the day, some times when their mothers weren’t watching . … some would be infants, some would be a year old, he said some would be toddlers, he said they would grab these children and take them down to the swamp, and leave them in pens like little chicken coops.
They would go down there at night, take these babies and …. tie them up, put a rope around their neck and around their torso, around here, and tie it tight.
… they’d be screaming. … what they were doing would help them to chum the water. He said when they would throw the babies in tied to this rope, he said in a matter of minutes, he said, the alligator were on them. He said the alligator would clamp his jaws on that child, as a matter of fact once he clamped on them he was really swallowed, he said you couldn’t see anything but the rope!
THIS SYSTEM IS OUT TO KILL US AND WE KNOW IT. SOME SAY we are not ready to take on this monster. We say that we do not want to….but that is not the question any longer. The monster has taken us on and we have to deal with reality.
Dione Payne, 16, a black male Victim of Racism, died this past Sunday on December 1, 2013, after having been beaten, robbed, and sexually assaulted by two “white” men. Enforcement officials report that the Racist Suspects, 36-year-old Michael Geldrich and 39-year-old Michael Watson, robbed, brutally beat and raped Payne before dropping the victim off at a nearby hospital. They are being charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery. The sexual assault charge is conspicuously missing.
This past Monday his attempted family held a vigil. Members of his attempted family say they were unsure how the teen became acquainted with his attackers. According to enforcement officials, Payne was staying with Geldrich . This suggests that Payne trusted Geldrich at least to a degree. This is very disturbing considering the deceptive, violent and anti-black nature of the system of Racism (White Supremacy) in which we all live.
Racist Suspects have wasted no time putting this young Victim of Racism on trial posthumously. Racist Suspects at Dayton Daily News report on this story with the headline, “Dayton teen beaten to death had troubled past”. They have repeatedly emphasized the claim by other Racist Suspects that he was selling drugs in the area before being attacked and sexually assaulted. However, this article fails to mention that the perpetrators themselves had so-called troubled pasts with extensive criminal histories such as child endangering, aggravated burglary, and drug trafficking. Unlike Payne, these men were far past their teen years and have had ample time to get their lives together. Considering their age, their status as adults should be emphasized rather than the alleged activities of a severely victimized 16-year-old.
In response to a statement made by a relative of Payne, a suspected racist enforcement official, who was quoted in the article, also emphasized that this was not a racially motivated crime, which is to be expected.
Any person who classifies him/herself as “white” and who is capable of practicing Racism (White Supremacy), most likely does. It is important for Victims of Racism to learn this lesson before it is too late.
Rest in Peace Dione Payne.
Renisha McBride’s funeral has already happened. 19 years old. Shot in the head. A killer from an all-White sundown town kept anonymous by the media (named as Ted Wafer by Voices of Detroit and on Democracy Now; he’s not a minor/rape victim; no anonymity is protected by law as far as I know) already has more support than this young woman. I and many Black people have already been targeted by racists on Twitter defending this man. The “neutral” media is invested in his protection, not justice for Renisha. And the criminal justice system itself is doing what it does best, reifying White supremacy.
Seeing this funeral program is difficult. Her death was ruled a homicide, yet no charges have been filed thus far.
My other posts on this topic:
- dream hampton’s film on Renisha McBride [X]

- Unlike Renisha McBride, A White Woman Came To My Door (Not Even For Help) And Lived Another Day
- no, this incident is not “isolated” [X]
- local news story, my first thoughts [X]
And as I place on every post on this because sadly this has to be done, Whites who support her murder, view it as an “isolated incident”, want to derail discussion on domestic murder of Black people by mentioning drones, think we deserve to die, think any Black person at a home is a burglar or anything like this, please stay away. And the linked posts above contain links that address all of these types of derailment.
And NO, I don’t have to “reach out” to Whites in this time. I can grieve the fuck away from you. And I can grieve for someone I don’t personally know because that’s something humans often do, and contrary to popular belief, Black women are also human. And no, wanting space away from racism is NOT “reverse racism” or “just as bad” as racism itself. And remember she “reached out” and was murdered, so spare me. Keep your thoughts on YOUR blog. That’s how personal blogs work. Thank you. (And don’t come here with “not all Whites” derailment either.)
Anyway, as I post anything about this case, it will be under a tag with her name: Renisha McBride.
So much of being Black in America is seeing things that no one else sees, or wants to see. Sometimes, it turns out, there is indeed nothing there. […] And yet, many conspiracy theories are eventually proven true. The late Detroit mayor Coleman Young used to always say: “Just because you’re paranoid, don’t mean ain’t nobody out to get you.” Black people all over the world know that there are people out there who mean them harm and have a vested interest in writing off their claims as craziness, conspiracy theories, fantasy.
Thomas Jefferson did father Sally Hemings’s children; the CIA did help introduce crack cocaine into America’s inner cities; those doctors at Tuskegee Institute weren’t healing those Black men infected with syphilis; white folks in New Orleans, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. were plotting to reclaim neighborhoods from Blacks. The Chicago Police Department and the FBI did execute Black Panthers Fred Hampton and Mark Clark while they slept.
Stand Your Ground Claims Another Victim: Once Again, A Black Person Is Killed While Looking For Help
Less than two months after Charlotte policeshot and killed an unarmed man who was trying to find help after having a car accident, a woman is dead in Michigan under similar circumstances, shot in the head while reportedly searching for assistance late Friday night.
Renisha McBride, a 19-year-old from Detroit, is presumed to have been asking for help when she knocked on the door of a Dearborn Heights home at 2:30 A.M. on Saturday. McBride’s family says McBride had been in a car accident and her cellphone was dead. Rather than offering shelter to McBride, however, the homeowner came out and shot her in the head with a shotgun. The buckshot entered McBride’s head from the back, according to statements from her aunt, as the girl had already turned to walk or run away from the home. Police reports say the teenager was found dead on the home’s front porch.
While the initial stories around McBride’s death dubbed it a “possible case of self-defense gone wrong,” today police sent a request to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office asking for charges to be filed against the unnamed resident who shot McBride.
"He shot her in the head … for what? For knocking on his door," McBride’s aunt told the Detroit News. “If he felt scared or threatened, he should have called 911.”
Michigan’s self-defense act, which bears a resemblance to Florida’s infamous stand-your-ground law, says that an individual “may use deadly force against another individual anywhere he or she has the legal right to be with no duty to retreat” as long as that person “honestly and reasonably” believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death, great bodily harm, or sexual assault.
